Are you familiar with DNow? It's a wonderful weekend for youth to fellowship, Bible Study, Worship, and make connections with fellow Christian students in their communities and schools. Jeremy and I are honored to be a small part of it each year, and this year was an enormous blessing! They start of Friday, after school, with dinner and worship at the church, followed by Bible study back at their host homes, and bed (yeah, right!). Saturday is breakfast (cooked in my kitchen by one of the church's cooking teams, and they cleaned up, too!), fellowship, tons of Bible study, worship, more Bible Study, and a ROCKIN' concert. Sunday is Bible Study, breakfast, and DNOW takes over the Sunday morning worship service at church.
We hosted 11th and 12th grade boys.....12 of them. I cannot begin to tell you how inspired and encouraged I was by these young men. They truly have found Christian fellowship with one another, and are on fire for Christ. These are the young men you would want your daughter to someday find. The kind I want to raise my boys to be. I expected fun times, and laughs. I expected their guitars and jam sessions. I expected them to eat me out of house and home. I expected 30 minute Bible studies. What I got was 2-3 hour Bible studies, and late night discussions in my dining room floor until 2 or 3 am, where the topics were solely about worship experiences, and scripture. Not their girlfriends, not their trucks...but CHRIST! And, when the sun was out...a little football..
Fun times on my boy's swingset...

The worship band was an amazing group called The Museum. Wow. We won't be able to afford them in the years to come, because they are going places!! These young men did a wonderful job directing the hearts of our youth to Christ!

They brought along another group called "Rapture Ruckus"..they are from New Zealand. WOW!! It was like Eminem meets God! I have not had that much fun at a concert since I was 15 jamming out with some old school DC Talk! And my little ones are loving the CD!! You should check them out on Facebook!
Jeremy and I again, were honored just to be bystanders in what God is doing in the lives of the young people in Greenville, AL! I can't wait to do it again! There is nothing like watching these children with their arms raised to the Father praising His name. I remember what those moments meant in my own life as a teenager, and how they have molded the mother and wife and adult I have become. I am proud to be a part of a church that finds importance in investing in these moments with these kiddos. I can't wait for my own children to be a part of the experience...I'm not sure my little heart will be able to take it!

What an awesome weekend!!! And how precious of you two to open your home! It's encouraging to read what you shared. :)
Love The Museum. Met them in January at my in-laws' house, which is where they were staying for Xtreme Weekend in Troy. Sweet, sweet people and precious puppy dog!
