No Parents Allowed!

OK - so here's what happened:
Samuel was in trouble Monday night & his daddy sent him to his room for a time-out for three minutes. When he came out, he came back into the living room carrying a blue color-pencil. He looks at me and says "Mom, the signs on my walls mean that parents cannot come in". And, I think, Ohmigosh - no you didn't. Jeremy & I look at each other, and I just told Samuel to sit down while I calmly walk to his room. Sure enough - big blue x's on all 4 walls & the door! And as I am standing there in awe, Samuel comes in behind me. I can't think of anything to say - so I just look at him. And he says - "Mom, this big monster hand came out of my wall and picked up my blue color off my dresser..." I just stopped him there, and said - Samuel - don't you dare tell me a story, who did this? With a big sigh, he confessed it was him - but he says he had tell the parent's they couldn't come in----Here are the pics! You may have to click on the pics to see him - they aren't really dark in the pics - but they are in person! And I haven't tried to get it off yet - I need to get some magic erasers, or everybody says some "OOps!" from the hardware store will get it off.
UPDATE: Magic erasers work wonders! Samuel spent 4 days after we got home scrubbing one wall each afternoon. He DID NOT like having to scrub the x's off - so I hope this won't happen again...

Mudder's Birthday!

Even though we had already all gone out to eat together with all the siblings for Mudder's birthday - Samuel insisted we have a party. So, we broke out the Happy Birthday, Elmo table cloth, the balloons, and mommy cooked dinner - complete with birthday cake, candles and homemade icecream. I think Samuel enjoyed it even more than Mudder!
