D-Now was this weekend at Southside. We had absolutely no intention of being a part...until Wednesday. Blake was babysitting, and she made a comment about her mom was super stressed because her mom was in hospital & she had had a houseparent drop out last minute. OPEN MOUTH - INSERT FOOT. You guessed it, we volunteered and ended up with 11th and 12th grade boys. We spent years with the youth when we were members at Mt. Pleasant, going to camps, conferences, and concerts..teaching Sunday school, bible studies, whatever. We loved it, but it is so hard with 2 little ones at home. It's been a while - and it was wonderful this weekend. I guess I didn't realize how much we missed it. I'm not sure these boys knew exactly how to take us, because none of them knew us prior to this. Friday started with pizza at our house, followed by worship at the church. We left the church to wreak a little havoc at the other D-Now houses. My boys did a great job at Tim & Tanya's, the Townes's, and the Blackmon's. I still have no idea where they got all the stuff...I certainly had nothing to do with it, Mrs. Ann. We came back home for a bible study around 11:30. The boys stayed up while TJ sereneded us all to sleep. Saturday was bible study, worship, and a video scavenger hunt that was blast, then more of the same. We finished up Sunday morning at church.
