I know - I have GOT to get some new pics - and I will, I promise. It has just been a very trying week!
First, My dearest friends, Meredith & Gordon, had prepared to bring home a precious baby girl through adoption - and it failed at the very last moment. It has been heartbreaking. This beautiful couple wants nothing more than the blessing of a child in their lives - and for whatever reason, God's timing is not now. I know the pain of losing a child through two miscarriages - but I'm not sure I that is the same as the pain they are enduring. When I lost my children, it was early enough that I did not have a nursery ready, and I had not held them. That's not the case for Meredith and Gordon. Please keep these two in your prayers - I can't wait to see the blessing God is storing up for them!
Yesterday, Tracy called after work. Apparently at daycare, Presley fell out of the swing and landed on her face! She jammed her front two teeth up into the gum - and they are being sent to a Pediatric dental person today - ouch!
We've also had revival all week long - which I have thouroughly enjoyed. Come join us!
Yesterday, I also was invited to lunch with the amazing Mr. Charlie Kennedy and his wife. We had steak lake-side at their hunting cabin which is not too far from town. What a wonderful retreat from work! We joined them last Saturday, too, for a concert at Ms. Bettie Miller's home from a professional classical pianist and sopranist. They were amazing! Even my country-cowboy husband really enjoyed it!
"Life's not always easy, Life's not always fair. We'll keep pressing onward, 'til our Journey is complete...We'll keep serving Jesus, 'til we bow down at his feet.." (wish I could think of the rest of this song, something we sang in choir - been stuck in my head for days..)
