Our Plans...
You ever notice how things always seem to be going on along fine until you make important plans - then it all falls apart? For over a year, I have been wanting to have Samuel's portraits done. I wanted to do it when he was 3, then with all the drama of a new baby coming, it just didn't happen. SO, I decided 3 1/2 wasn't bad, but the photographer I wanted didn't have any open appointments until this Saturday - and he'll be 4 on August 3rd. I have been SO excited about this fabulous photographer and finally getting some amazing pictures of my precious first-born. Then, not-so-bright me, let Jeremy take him to the barber to just have the hair trimmed off his ears on Monday, so it would be perfect for Saturday. When they came home, I cried. She had scalped him. I called the photographer bawling about how I couldn't have his portrait made like this and she was willing to reschedule. Now, he really will be 4. Then, yesterday when I got home from my Junior Miss Board meeting, mother was sitting on the couch, with Samuel in her lap, and a towel with blood all over it held up to his face. I just knew he had knocked out a tooth. Turns out, he went to the potty - and decided to dig around in her bathroom cabinet until he found a razor. He then proceeded to put on shaving cream, wet it, and shave his face. He did pretty good until he took a chunk out of his upper lip! Now, who knows when portraits will happen!!

Hey! You know what they say, you wanna make God laugh...tell him "our plans!!" There will come a day when you will look back on this and laugh; maybe not today, tomorrow or the next, but one day (I am sure that is advice you will be giving me one day!!). Enjoy these moments, they will not last forever! Love!!
OMG! Luckily, we are currently terrified of razors, and Bubba KNOWS better! Hopefully, the portraits will happen soon! When they do, send lots of pics! ~KM
